Lektronix are racing to support Macmillan's 4x4 challenge 2010!
Lektronix International based in Aldridge, West Midlands is sponsoring Team Zolander to take part in this year's fundraiser for the Macmillan 4x4 challenge 2010. The Mac 4x4 challenge is a designed to get the gears racing for any 4x4 enthusiasts. The 3 day event is a test of driving skill, navigational ability, teamwork and endurance covering between 400 and 1000 miles with various "tests" en route. Challengers will race, live, eat and sleep in their car whilst battling it out to reach the finish line first in order to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support. The event commences Friday 5th March 2010 with teams crossing the finish line on Sunday 7th March 2010. 29/07/2009: First Minister Opens Industry Success Story In Bridgend
First Minister Rt. Hon Rhodri Morgan opened the new service centre of Lektronix Automation and Control Ltd in Bridgend on Friday 24th July. The new facility, built with the aid of a grant provided by the Welsh Assembly, will create badly needed employment in the Bridgend area and make this South Wales facility one of the major repair hubs for the Lektronix Group which already operates across Europe and is beginning to expand into India and the Far East. Group Managing Director Tony Jones added, "We are very pleased that the First Minister Rt. Hon Rhodri Morgan was able to take time out of his busy schedule to open our new service centre. We believe that this facility represents a major step forward in establishing Lektronix Bridgend as a world class operation and guarantees its future in these difficult times."
